How can we take “proactive” steps to support our patients...? Through Nutrition!!
Much of today’s veterinary medicine is based on a “reactive” approach. Pets brought into the clinic usually come in with a problem and our amazing veterinary teams “react” with diagnostics and treatments to help support the animal and their family unit.
This nutrition counseling program focuses on cultivating health resiliency in the patient. The body needs high quality, easily usable nutrients to help it combat disease and maintain health.
The development of a holistic health plan with an individualized diet and supplement plan ensures that the body receives adequate and appropriate nutrients from whole food ingredients and supplements. Nutritional plans provide support to the patient’s body in doing what it wants to do… be healthy!!

As our human nutritional experts push for us to eat less processed foods and to shop, “ around the perimeter” of our grocery stores it seems only natural that we provide that same balanced whole food nutrition for our pets. Your journey to better nutrition and health for your pet family member starts with identifying problem areas. Combining this information with your pet’s medical history helps paint the picture of your pet’s whole body health. From here, an individualized nutritional program is developed for your pet.
Now let’s get started down the path to improving your pet’s health!

Meet Chris Warner
RVT, CCRVN, CPN (pending) Chris has been a registered veterinary technician for over 10 years with a variety of experience working in general practice, dermatology, and animal rehabilitation. He fell in love with animal rehabilitation and this led him to pursue advanced certification as a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Veterinary Nurse (CCRVN).
After several years working in animal rehab Chris felt that there was an important piece missing from many of the cases he worked with throughout his career...and that missing piece was a whole body approach to wellbeing… including through nutrition! |
Chris’ interest in preventative care, proactive support, and building physiologic resiliency in our animal patients has him down the road of whole food animal nutrition – nutrition that supports the body in its quest to maximize health by providing it with a functional diet.He is currently pursuing his certification as a Clinical Pet Nutritionist (C.P.N) through the Academy of Natural Health Sciences and brings a wide set of experience to evaluating, adapting, and building your pet’s holistic nutrition plan.
Hear from our current clients:
This team worked together in a collaborative environment that has added so much value to my education and most importantly, the wellbeing of my pet. Their approach is a unique blend of science and intuition that really works!
I joined this nutrition counseling program with the belief that my senior dog had serious injuries that would require a lot of physical therapy and possibly even surgery. Instead, I learned that my dog's anxiety and some nutritional gaps were causing the problems.
As the nutritional expert, Chris is the whole package. He listens carefully, takes detailed notes, and offers practical guidance for testing, supplements, diet and he can even suggest rehabilitation exercises! He really takes the time to analyze what is going on and uses critical thinking to come up with the best plan possible. Chris truly values your perspectives and feedback as the pet owner too.
I would recommend the Nutritional Guidance Program to anyone who wants to take their pet's wellness a step further. My dog has more energy, she walks up the stairs without limping, and the best part is she loves cuddling with me now! We did some repeat blood work last week and her liver enzymes (which were high at the start of the program) are back in the normal range. I am so grateful that I found Medicine of Wonder!
